Bishop Tim Thornton has unfortunately had to withdraw from his participation in Hope and Hunger 2017. Bishop Tim will be moving from his current position at Truro to become the Bishop of Lambeth, working closely with the incumbent Archbishop Welby.
We're very disappointed that he won't be able to share his insights as an Anglican leader and co-commissioner of the All Parliamentary Inquiry into Hunger but wish him all the best in his new position.

Dialogue event 4th May, 6pm to 7.30pm
This conversation in-the-round is about our experiences of food poverty in Sheffield. It will be held at the Octagon Centre, Western Bank. It’s for any grappling with food poverty personally, or helping with meals, food-bank or food recycling schemes. It will be relevant for those wondering about the theology of helping by handing out, or wanting church to be a place that gives a hand-up. Hosted by Church Action on Poverty the Urban Theology Union and the Liberating Theologies group; for free booking and further information, visit, http://sheffield.ac.uk/chaplaincy/foodpovertytheology of contact [email protected] Niall Cooper, Director of Church Action on Poverty and a lead organiser in the End Hunger UK campaign, has been confirmed as a speaker for Hope and Hunger 2017.
